budding baker

Baking experiments were awesome! In addition to baking 2 tasty, crusty (yet deliciously moist inside) loaves, my mother and I made another more experiment loaf with toasted pine nuts, chopped pecans, and craisins soaked in wine. Also tasty! Too bad I didn't take pictures, but I can say that it looked kind of like this:



which is a picture of a loaf also made to the same recipe.

Semi-unrelatedly, is Annick Massis the inheritor of Jessye Norman's gigantor mandibles?
